Autism Families Association launches many activities in Autism Spectrum Disorder Awareness Month
The association held many programs and events across the Kingdom, targeting thousands of people during the Autism Spectrum Disorder Awareness Month, starting from April 2, 2021 AD, with the aim of supporting and motivating families and enhancing community awareness about autism.
At the beginning of April, it launched the first initiative of its kind (silent coffee), as a community awareness initiative in which the level of lighting is reduced in solidarity with people with autism spectrum disorder in more than 60 restaurants and cafes, in addition to its keenness to conduct awareness campaigns by displaying its visual products through more than 100 A screen for outdoor advertisements and lighting of more than 50 buildings in blue, and the implementation of many in-person workshops, digital lectures and awareness corners in cooperation with several parties.
The association also devoted a number of initiatives to helping families by relieving distress, furnishing homes, paying rent and debts, providing health care cards and food baskets, and contributed to integrating children with autism spectrum disorder by providing entertainment programs by hosting them in sports clubs, entertainment centers and cinemas.
In this regard, His Highness, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Farhan Al Saud, stated that the Autism Families Association continues to give and support it for the benefit and benefit of this group dear to our hearts.
